Still running your business on Tally, Excel, or a combination of both?

Most businesses reach a point where the tools that got them here start to slow them down. The signs are usually the same:

If any of this sounds familiar, the problem is not discipline or effort. It is that the system was not designed for where the business is now.

You should never have to guess where your ERP project stands

AI in Odoo: Embedded within the platform

Odoo’s AI is embedded across the platform and available from day one; not a separate module, not a future roadmap item.

Ask AI gives every user a single assistant accessible from anywhere in Odoo: to ask questions, generate content, and trigger actions without leaving the screen they are on.

AI Agents handle multi-step tasks autonomously. This includes creating records, updating fields, and sending communications, all without manual input at every step. Instead of manual approval chains, agents detect exceptions and escalate only when human judgement is genuinely required.

In sales, leads are generated and scored automatically. In finance, invoices are processed and anomalies flagged without manual intervention. In manufacturing, AI planning optimises scheduling and predicts material requirements before shortages occur.

GeNNxt uses AI-assisted tools across requirement documentation, test-case preparation, data validation and development support, while solution design and business decisions remain consultant-led.

The outcome is 20 to 30 percent faster implementation without reducing rigour.

Two very different models. One right choice.

How engagements are structured, and what drives the cost

Every Odoo project is different. The cost and timeline of an implementation depend on the number of users, the complexity of the processes being configured, how much data needs to be migrated, and whether integration with third-party systems is required.

GeNNxt does not publish fixed prices, because a price that fits a 20-person distributor will not fit a 200-person manufacturer. What we do is invest time at the beginning to understand the scope honestly, and then give a clear, structured proposal before any work begins.

What typically drives cost:

Questions we hear most often

01
How long does an Odoo implementation take?

It depends on the scope. A focused implementation for a single business unit with 2–3 modules typically takes 6–10 weeks. A full multi-module deployment for a manufacturer with complex processes and data migration requirements can take 4–6 months. A structured blueprint phase at the beginning makes the timeline more predictable for both sides.

02
How much does Odoo implementation cost?

The cost varies based on the number of modules, complexity of processes, volume of data migration, integrations required, and level of customisation. GeNNxt provides a clear, scope-based proposal after an initial discovery session; not a standard price list. Contact us to discuss your requirement.

03
Can you migrate our data from Tally to Odoo?

Yes. Tally migration is one of the most common requests we handle. The process involves extracting data from Tally, cleaning and mapping it to Odoo's data structure, and migrating it in a controlled sequence. The approach varies depending on which version of Tally you are using and how clean the historical data is.

04
Should we choose Odoo Community or Odoo Enterprise?

This depends on your requirements. Odoo Community is open-source and free to use but has fewer built-in features, no official support, and limited accounting and manufacturing functionality for compliance. Odoo Enterprise includes a wider range of modules. For most manufacturing and distribution businesses, Enterprise is the more practical choice. We can walk you through the comparison for your specific situation.

05
Can Odoo replace our existing ERP?

In most cases, yes, but with proper planning. We have handled migrations from SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, custom-built ERPs, and multiple legacy systems. The key is understanding what to carry over and what to leave behind. Not all historical data needs to migrate; what matters is getting opening balances and active records right.

06
What happens if we already have Odoo but it is not working well?

This is more common than people expect. We specialise in handling Odoo rescue and re-implementation by assessing what went wrong, stabilising critical processes, simplifying or reconfiguring what exists, completing unfinished work, and where necessary, doing a controlled re-go-live. If your team is working around Odoo rather than in it, it is worth a conversation.

07
Do you recommend customising Odoo?

Our approach is standard Odoo first. Odoo has considerable configurability that is underutilised in many implementations. We identify genuine gaps through a structured fit-gap process, and recommend custom development only where configuration and integration cannot address the requirement. We will not recommend customisation just because it is technically possible.

08
What does on-site implementation mean in practice?

On-site engagement is used where it genuinely changes the quality of the outcome: process discovery sessions, shop-floor understanding, UAT workshops, end-user training and go-live support. Everything else—build, test, documentation and day-to-day project communication—runs through structured remote collaboration.

09
What support do you provide after go-live?

Post-go-live support covers the stabilisation period, which is the first weeks of live operation when users encounter real transactions and real edge cases for the first time. Beyond that, we offer structured support retainers covering bug fixes, user queries, minor enhancements and performance monitoring.
